What makes me tick?
The social element of my job. I have always enjoyed meeting my clients and getting to know them and their families. I am friendly and approachable and I hope that is a help to people, especially if they are seeing me at a difficult time. Private Client is a type of law that most people will have dealings with at some point in their life, whether that is making a simple Will or dealing with a complex estate when a loved one has died. I will always try not to overcomplicate matters for clients and ensure that I provide them with well-rounded advice.
My experience
I started my professional career at small firm in a Market Town, it was very personal and we knew most of our clients on a first name basis and dealt with all types of matters. I went on work at a firm in West Yorkshire where I specialised in Property and some Private Client work. I gained experience in dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing and private client law. I qualified as a solicitor in 2017 and moved back over to practice in the East Riding of Yorkshire the following year. I have focused solely on Private Client Law in 2021 and I am looking forward to new challenges and creating new opportunities for the firm. I will be shortly starting the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates course which will widen my knowledge of aspects of estate planning, including setting up trusts for people where appropriate, and so widening the areas of guidance I am able to offer clients
Outside of work
I love to spend time outside and I have always had involvement with horses so you will often find me at a local dressage competition or out walking with my 2 sausages dogs.
